Wildest Dreams - Bill Nelson

Postby chimera » Fri Jul 14, 2006 10:33 am

To celebrate the fact that Bill's 1986 album Getting The Holy Ghost Across or On A Blue Wing as it was known in the US is getting a CD release at last later this year, here's a vinyl rip of the great mans single from said album. For anyone interested read Bill's diary on his website for the full story of how he is putting the release out himself as Sony wasn't interested.

Good to know chimera - thanks. These are the kinds of releases that can slip right by and be gone before you know it.

Good to see another Bill Nelson Fan! I just picked up "the alchemical adventures of sailor bill" and "nelsonica 2005 - orpheus in ultraland" and with those two I just about have his entire catalogue.Looking for anything?

Bill has been amazingly prolific in his career, hasn't he? Well done on having his entire catalogue of material, oneno! My favourite period of his was from Quit Dreaming to Duplex, which I have. Was very happy to see his Mercury albums re-issued on cd recently and look forward to Holy Ghost.

Thanks for the good news Chimera. And for the link to perhaps my favorite Bill Nelson tune. I have anticipated this release for years and years.

Here's the Wild Mix:

Cheers for that, egg-roger. That's a fine mix and one that I haven't heard for many years. Thanks!

A question for you : looking for more info upon the GROUP "Das Kabinette", someone advised me to check Bill Nelson's album under this name (of Dr.Calligari in fact). Well, totally different... [:(]
Does anyone know anything about the above mentioned g r o u p ? Do they have only released this single track and nothing else ?
