Here's a bit of trivia -- What band is that song about?

Very good. I think that they actually did this remix. I know they did one. Rumor has it that Nick Cave was in on it, uncredited. (Blixa Bargeld from EB was/is(?) in The Bad Seeds.

[/quote]What's your basis for that belief? I've read that the song was about New Wave fans in general.

Einsturzende Neubauten translates to "Collapsing new buildings". They recorded in the same studio, and EB found the master and decided to do an unsolicited remix. Tovey thought it was so good, he put it on the 12". Someone I know spoke to Blixa about this, and then to Frank Tovey, and their stories were the same. The song is actually about EB's fans. (please excuse the lack of oomlats.)

Which 12 Inch Mix do you guys like better of Fad's CNP: the Berlin Mix? or the London Mix? Or the newer Collapsing Westbam Remix, which also has a Radio Edit version? [:0]

As usual, CD Universe has all this available - check the link. Both Berlin and London mixes on this double CD. Why settle for one track when you can have originals?? Almos everything by Fad Gadget has been reiisued, and there are so many good tracks. This besat of at least has disc 2 of 12" versions, good place to start.

Fad Gadget for the most part is not rare these days, with all the reissues available - for anyone actually wanting them instead of just an mp3.
