Mechi: do you watch CQC?

Hi Mechi, last friday the last CQC (Spain) program of this season was shown on TV, I really enjoy it and laugh a lot with those guys.
I know there is at least an equivalent CQC (Caiga Quien Caiga) in Argentina and in Chile (sometimes news covered by the South american journalists are shown in the Spanish program). By any chance, do you watch it? Do you know where it was first produced?

It's happened the same to me with French and German [:(]
Learning languages is quite hard, you must be continuously practising them so that you don't forget what you've learnt.

It's a pity there wasn't a Spanish-disco equivalent to your beloved Italo, listening to music in Spanish would help you not to forget it [:)]

Argentinian CQC is the original one and it started around 1995.

I've seen CQC in Argentina and Spain are almost the same, they both have the sections "Proteste ya", "El top 5", "Las QKS" (exactly the same cartoons... it's strange for me to hear them speaking with a different voice and Argentinian accent [:D])

I think your "street guys" are better than the ones here (at least I've seen some really annoy politicians, ha, ha) but I prefer the 3 Spanish guys behind the table, they're so funny! I just love them!

The guys behind the table here are also very argentinian and as you can see, our humour is pretty acid.
Pissing off politicians... that's so cool. Especially if you are one of the CQC reporters.

Well, to be honest, I had forgotten completely about some of those bands [:I] (I've never been a big fan of Italodisco), but:
- 1st clip: I thought Ivan was Italian and had made a version of "Telenovela" in Spanish
- 2nd clip: I have never seen those 2 women in my life nor had I heard their song before... who are they!!?? Were they Spanish or South-American??
- 3rd clip: It's been nice to hear that song again [8D], it's been ages since I did last time. I guess they were Spanish but they pronounce the word "playa" in a strange way.
- 4th clip: I think I wouldn't have considered that song as Spanish-disco. They were Spanish and had a huge success here.
- 5th clip: same as clip 2... have never heard that song
- 6th clip: the song rings a bell, but I doubt they were Spanish since they speak it with English accent [:)]

Anyway, thanks XXX for refreshing my memory a bit [:D]

Yes, one of your reporters really pissed off Aznar last year when he was presenting and signing there a (stupid) book "he wrote", ha, ha [:D]

That Pergolini seems to be a star there in Argentina. Two of the guys behind the table here are quite famous... it would be funny if both CQCs joined for one program [:)]

I've just read what wikipedia (I always forget it exists [B)]) says about CQC... I hope the programs last for many many years

1. I couldn't find any info on Ivan. They have another vid of him singing "Baila". I don't think he's Italian, or maybe he was born in Italy, but he's got the Spanish accent (at least he tries to sound Spanish).

2. Baccara was a Spanish Disco duo. "New" Baccara was the same duo... with a drum machine[:I]

3. That's an old song that takes me way back. It was VERY popular in Latin America for years![:D]

4. Ever notice how a Latino producer can gather any three chicks, suit them up in neon clothing, add a drum machine, and it's suddenly the newest craze? Hmmmm[8D] The shorty blondie was ubercute. There's a lot of junk that's labeled "Italodisco" which is just a Pop group (actually, the majority of what is now labeled as "Italodisco" is just Pop music from Italy). How would they be any different from Fun Fun, Lime, Radiorama, etc?

5. zOMG! "Marinero" was famous... in Latin America[;)] I have never heard the English version featured here, but the Spanish version got played quite a bit.

You're right, certainly Ivan has a perfect Spanish accent.
Probably the songs that I didn't know didn't receive much airplay in Spain... it's curious how some songs are huge hits in some countries while they've never been heard in others.
