OK...well, this CERTAINLY DOES fall into stuff that's never been out on CD, so....
I had the vinyl ages ago; and I'd just recently picked up the DVD and enoying it. The music featured, while certainly not New Wave, came out certainly during one of the golden years of punk/new wave (1980). Just a harmless request to ask if anybody'd ever ripped any or all of the soundtrack and could share; promise to keep all future requests strictly on track...thanks...

Well, it took me all night, but here it is. The vinyl was super crackly, so I cleaned up the tracks in Steinberg Clean 4.0 and they sound pretty darned good considering.
It was a real treat hearing these songs again. I'll probably spend the next week listening to it over and over. And for you "O.C." fans, yes, that's a young Peter Gallagher singing the best two tracks. Man I love that movie.

Wow!!! I love that movie! I could picture Tommy Dee singing "Here is My Love." I still remember all dance moves to that one!

I haven't listened to all the tracks yet, but, you're right, it IS pretty darn good!
Here's the only thing I was able to snag from the OST:
Jesse Frederick: Here Is My Love-

this comes from a website about Jesse Frederick (I really don't know who he is at all, really); just for comparison- this MIGHT be a direct transfer (it DOES sound VG+; maybe just the very very end makes me think it might be from vinyl, but..??)
and...here's something funny; PETER GALLAGHER's official site has samples of both of his somgs!
What a great movie that was, and what a start for 3 big future stars:
Peter Gallagher, Olympia Dukakis, and Joe Pantolino.
