Colourfield - Deception Album, HELP! will trade

Discuss hard-to-find or out-of-print New Wave and '80s Alternative, and share a few songs along the way.
NOTE: requesting songs that are entirely unrelated to the genres discussed here or easily found on CD is strongly discouraged and posts will be enforced as needed.
No matter how the band name is spelled (I'd go for "Colourfield" as their first single was "Colour field") their Deception album is crap, apart from "She" perhaps. I bought it for 4 Euros because I liked some songs fromn the ext. Philistines CD (would have paid 30 Euros when I was looking for their stuff, but now I'd only pay 10-15 Euros for it as it contains versions that are inferior to their 1985 EP), which brings me to one of their best tracks: Frosty Mornings. You won't find that on CD - as far as I know.
Out of mere curiosity and as an ignorant non-native speaker of English, what is Terry Hall hated for?

As a non-native speaker of English, you put my 3 words of non-native German to shame...I don't think Terry Hall is hated as such, I think it all began with the glorification of The Colourfield by a few here which eventually deteriorated into a pissing match (and oh, what a pissing match it was). During the argument, some people who were stating the pro Colourfield side started propping up Terry as one of the geniuses of the 80's, which brings you to here.

Feel free to add to or correct if my memory of the events is wrong...
But I loved his work even after, the Colourfield/ Vegas/ Terry,Blair & Anouchka and countless collaborations.
[/quote]I'm with you. I love everything Terry Hall, including this album. Unfortunately I only have the first eight tracks of it, but I'm willing to share it if no one can find a full version.

He sure hasn't aged well. Hope he's more successful flogging real estate than music.

And am I the only one PRAYING that he reunites with Blair? Wow that would be super-cool!!!!!!!!!
