Hi,
Trying to find out the name of a song by Private Lives.
The first line of lyric is...If there's anybody who can rectify me,then the chorus has a lot of please in it.
thanks[:)]

Really? The one fronted by John Adams? I have their album and two singles. I thought the record in question was a completely different group. No?

Well, hope it works out all the same.

Yes the British band it is fronted by John Adams & Morris Michael. They only released 1 album called..Prejudice & Pride 1984 and I think the only single they had was...Living in a World.
Have a listen to this sample which must be the song in question..Pleas.

That's not Adams' voice. Not even close. Trust me, I've had "Prejudice and Pride" since the late '80s...

I guess we are all just living in a world turned upside down now aren't we? I know very little of the band but have a John Adams solo 12" and a Private Lives 12" somewhere around here ... drawing a blank but I know the cover has a guy sitting in front of a mirror with make up on? maybe?

"Memory of Your Name" -- which is one of the singles I happen to have... albeit the 7" only.

Any completist experts here know if the 1980 WEA single, "Where Do I Go"/"On Your Own," is the same group or not? (Of course the 1982 Round single, "When the World Comes Crashing Thru"/"Cautious Dreams," is a different one. The pic sleeve makes that abundantly clear!)

Well, stranded it's not really PRIVATE LIVES because I also have the Vinyl Record of PREJUDICE AND PRIDE and just reviewed the whole record last weekend.[;)] Actually, the whole album is great and if you have a chance to get it,then grab the oppurtunity.[8D]

Refresh my memory -- was this from Tonys Records? He (or his staff) is actually very fast... just don't expect it to be anywhere near the grade he's given.

That's it! I have the 12" extended for that on Chrysalis records, from what I remember it was an ok song

I'm a bit confused here, same band that did "Living In A World" or are we talking a different band? Never really liked anything outside of that song and it was introduced to me during the HUB's early run

"Memory of Your Name" and "Living in a World (Turned Upside Down)" are the same band. They moved from Chrysalis to EMI.

It's the record I mentioned that I'm not sure of. And I was pretty sure there was also an Aussie Private Lives -- who are probably the ones stranded is looking for.

You got to love this site...while I have your attention do you think you can have a crack at one of my other ID's....thanks.
I will eventually burn the 7" if anyone wants a copy email me...cheers [:D]
