Around 1983-84, a cover of Cindi Laupers "girls just wanna..." I believe the band was Exile, and the song was "Boys just wanna have sex." Any takers?

Exude was the band....

Someone on the board recently said that this EP is available on iTunes, but I could be wrong!

That was me, yep the American version of the EP is available through iTunes. I wish the Canadian version was available as well as it had different tracks, that would make a killer 2 on 1 CD + the Play With The Boys LP which is simply amazing! Talking to Frank for the last few years I was glad to finally see these tracks available it took forever but was well worth the wait. Frank just recorded a cover of "Don't Cha" the popular dance/r&b song by the Pussycat Dolls it's really worth checking out.

Robert Hazard wrote "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" but it wasn't until later when Exude recorded "Boys Just Wanna Have Sex" after hearing Cyndi's version. You know Robert wouldn't let them have a music video, true story ... damn Robert go ride your escalator of life [:D]

Actually, he is playing here at Bethlehem's Musik Fest but I don't think I am going to go, I saw him on the local Philadelphia channel one morning performing a new song and it's really not all that good, but 'Darling' is an amazing album and his self titled EP is great too. His cover of "Blowin' In The Wind" is outstanding and love "Change Reaction" as well. One day I might go out and see if him for the hell of it, he is always playing in the Philadelphia area.

I heard the that R.H.'s song was titled "Boys Just Wanna Have Fun," and Cyndi changed "boys" to "girls." [?] [;)]

Once again I'm putting the call out for a copy of RH's song. I heard it once in about 1984 and have never heard it again.
