Uh, stella, huffer did not answer. Or, more to point, he could not answer because he's full of shit.
XXX, what got me so hot-headed is that you invoked Hamas and Hezbollah as part of the reasons for supporting or not supporting one side or another. I find that to be so outrageous that I cannot even hear the rest of your argument.

....I've noticed that about you.

"That and your biased lashing of Jews and Christians at the exclusion of the equally guilty Muslims and do-nothing Europeans is supremely ludicrous. Appeasing the threat from some evil should not be part of any equation for peace."

....Your lashing at Muslims is ok though?

"Right should be right based on right alone."

......" Nobody's right when everybody’s wrong"

"As for Stella, in her short time here, she has participated in a grand total of two music threads - fucking two!"

...I love this accusation. I don't talk to you guys about music and it's true. I'm older than you, my focus is broader and my tastes eclectic. If I tell you I'm listening to Miles Davis while I type does that disqualify me from this board?

She is here to to shit-stir and has found an overly lax environment that freely allows it. If there's outrageous counter-commentary, blame her baiting.

....You call it baiting I call it an attempt at debating. A lost art if you are any example.

It offends the senses of decent thinking people when she consistently goes off on her half-cocked spew then cries that others are name-calling for having called a spade a spade. Stop your crying and stop the conceit that it's me and not you, because it IS you - overt idiocy DOES deserve ridicule.

...Decent thinking people? hahahahahah As defined by who? "We don't need no thought police"

Polarizing spew will be met with the same, as MikeP predicted in your other thread and as has happened here.

...It's you that are polarized, it's you that attacks without thought. You paint everyone with the same brush.

It undermines any credibility to whatever truths your statements might have. Idiots like you fuel the neo-con fire and illegitimizes any reasonable argument.

.. What’s a neo con?
This normally amusing brainlessness has turned into an unbearable assault on the idea that humans are capable of any reason whatsoever.

Blir brings up a very good point, and one I think that your blithe comment tries to dodge. This is the New Wave Outpost. I believe (I'm not MikeP) that it's PRIMARY purpose is for those who love or want to learn more about this genre of music. Or as stated by MikeP himself, "The New Wave Outpost is devoted to the musical phenomenon which came to be known as New Wave, in all its glorious guises....The New Wave Outpost was created in February 1996 and is maintained by me, Mike Paulsen, with the intention of helping fans of New Wave and 80's underground music locate classic and hard-to-find songs that are now available on numerous CD compilations, as well as notable album reissues. It also serves as a repository of sorts in remembering many forgotten and overlooked new wave-era artists."

So what I'd like to know is of the thousands of message boards out there why you choose this one to start political threads on? Do you even like the music we discuss here? Or are you in fact here to (as others have phrased it) "Stir Shit"? I'm not much of an expert on the 'Net, but a poster who comes to boards and does not discuss what the board primarily exists for sounds like a troll to me.

Stella I'm sure there must be hundreds of poltically oriented boards out there with similar views to yours (or if you enjoy arguments and debates, ones with views opposed to yours). I respectfully suggest that those may be more of what your looking for.

One final point. It is presumptuous in the extreme to assume that just because we post at the NWO, that it's the only music posters here like. For example there was a classical music thread on this board recently that received many posts. I love NW, but it is certainly not the only music I listen to. I suspect many other posters here are the same. Your tastes may indeed be "eclectic"--hey I like Miles Davis, too, but so I assure you are many of the posters here.

It amazes me...that of all the supposed sound minded folks that post here...my crazy ass was the only one to echo Blir's initial sentiments. Has the quality of posters here gone down the toilet the last few months and all that is left are loonbats? Or maybe y'all are a bunch of pussies? Good God. Shout off like you've got a pair. Otherwise, quit emailing me with your so-called support.

I guess if one don't agree with you they're not "sound-minded", eh hutter? Sounds a bit like the fundamentalist Muslems you rail against.

I generally shut my mouth up when topics like these come along but I'd like to say some words:
1) When problems between muslims and jews happen, they don't just affect the Middle East. They affect us all. Two of the biggest tragedies ever in argentinian history, the Israel embassy's terrorist attack (1992) and the AMIA attack (1994) were done by groups connected to Hezbollah. When the Israel embassy attack happened, I was 5 and lived 6 blocks away from it. I clearly remember the smoke, the trembling and the chaos of that day.
2) Mediation is probably the only solution to the problem... though it's just a temporary one as this is a clash between two cultures that has been going on for ages.
3) Mediation doesn't mean just the US mediating. This task should be performed mainly by the UN and its representatives.

Anyone can agree or disagree with what I'm saying... this is trully how I feel about this.

Im way too uninformed and way too immature to participate in this type of discussion.
Plus I see a lot of argument here. Yes, I am a pussy in that respect that I just dont want to piss anyone off here. I just dont want people seeing me here and thinking "hes a fucking cunt" or something along those lines.

Im here for the music. I never participate on the discussion matter, because Im too afraid of what people will think of my opinions.

Im more of an archivest in the respect. Since my joining 3 years ago, I've been harvesting the names of NW artists mentioned on these forums.
The list is too long...and please dont ask for it...Its way too disorganized....like my mangled music collection- It must sit in disorder and chaos until I find the right amount of time to fix it.
In one respect...I lust after new wave and I am addicted to it. I must have it...and listen to it as much as possible.

It's pretty sad that the folks that took the time to email me haven't said a word, but two kids (no offense to Frayo or Mechi, I love you guys) who have wisely kept out of the bullshit political threads, are the only ones to respond...why do I even bother? The rest of Y'all are pathetic. You say one thing in a email, but not have the brass to say it out in the open. Un-fuckin'-believable.

So I guess the truth is that y'all agree with XXX's bullshit endorsement of terrorists. Yah, anarchy is so fuckin' cool.

Y'know what, XXX? You win! Two tears in a bucket, FUCK IT!

I'm just glad you have no influence in the REAL world.

Carry on with the insanity. I've learned my lesson. The internet is shit...at least this corner of it.

And the mayor packs it in. The moral of the story is, if you can't get enough people to drink your kool-aid, throw a tantrum and run. Is that called "growing a pair"?

I strongly disagree.

I for one don't care if Stella (or anyone else) NEVER participates in a music discussion, I still welcome her input to the political threads. This in spite of the fact that I rarely (if ever) agree with her stance.
Sure, NWO is for new wavers and political discussion is more appropriate in other sites, but I enjoy the diversity and vitality of a wide-open forum.

Doesn't mean I can't interact with them on other threads unrelated to my completely opposite opinion on this one. Go Jewish dudes[;)] Shalom.

... and that's the thing. I have read this thread through and through, and not once have I lambasted anyone for believing what they do upon initial response. It's like beatschool wrote, we're not gonna change a damn thing over there by discussing things here no matter what the stance is. I'd like to think it's a discussion, not a debate, not an argument, and not a place for me to persuade anyone to change their minds; just a topic where I can offer my perspective on the matter. Some folks react here like I stabbed their dear mum[}:)] which is funny in a way[:D]
