I have an amazing sense of direction and can figure out where I am and how to get around easily. Even in Amsterdam, with all its....er, distractions. (my fave city, heh) I love being set loose in a strange or foreign city and figuring out how to get around.

I can't even think of the last time I ever argued with anyone. I am not the arguing type. I am very mellow, easygoing, and diplomatic, and my feathers don't get easily ruffled.

I am absolutely terrible at figuring out: people's height, weight, distances, and speeds.

At the end of the 1st day of school, I'll have already learned and memorized my 150 students' names. (I teach high school, 5 periods a day). I even freak myself out at how quickly I do that) -----

I was surprised by the "came out swinging" thing too. It smacks of premature judgement on birdmadgirl's part, a mistake I wouldn't make.

Oh.
Hi there. I've been posting here on and off for 3+ years -- Panorama -- the name works on the Photography aspect, as well as for the band, The Cars -- Panorama is one of my favorite albums, from one of my favorite bands.

Welcome aboard Living in Shadow.

As to the topic of this thread, I did an awesome shot (photo for those who think I meant something else) today of 4 VPs of a corporation for a magazine. I'll put this one in my portfolio.

I've been shooting digital only since March 2005, and it's taken some time for me to really like the end result with digital. I love the instant feedback with the screen, seeing the image right away, without having to shoot polaroids and all, but it's not the same as shooting a Hasselblad... but today was pretty great -- nice composition, and the lighting, I'm happy with. It's tough to make a great shot when your hands are tied, but today I cut the ropes and did what I wanted -- felt great!

What exactly did you expect? You made a derogatory post about another board member. 2 people called you out on it. Essentially your slams against Panorama would also be deemed premature judgement.

Instead of getting bent out of shape about it here and bringing it up in other threads, take the chip off your shoulder, get over it, and move on.

Really...what was the derogatory comment? The fact I mentioned only a fool would drive twice the speed limit on public roads? (something I feel strongly about) Perhaps you took offence at the drunken elephant comment, or was it that I chose not to comment on Panorama's work? (I am allowed to form my own conclusions, right?)

I'm not bent out of shape about anything...in fact, it looks more like you and birdmadgirl are the ones with the chips in need of removal: both of you have chimed in on what is clearly a discussion between Panorama and myself.

I don't see where Panorama has a problem clearly stating his viewpoints, and I have no problem stating mine. I think we can work this out between the two of us.

Seems I've stepped on toes by having my own opinion on things. Sorry, going forward I'll try to be more aware of how my offerings affect the board.

I mentioned only a fool would drive twice the speed limit on public roads?
True, but it was 2AM, it was a full moon, totally dry road and here was no other traffic around at all -- I was just testing the limits of the car to see what it could do, and I drove it 130 MPH for about 2 miles. The car floats along at 110 MPH like a knife through butter.
