I know some people use asexual to describe an orientation - but when I hear that word, I'm always reminded of worms & slugs that reproduce assexually! [:D]

LOL! I guess cos asexual sounds cooler or something? Go figure...

It's interesting b/c the culture is so different now then it was back when we were in high school. I recently went to my 20th HS reunion with my 2 best friends from back then. They have both come out since then. (One's a guy, one's a gal). We got into a conversation about who maybe we thought was gay back in HS, who was not; you know, that sort of stuff. We couldn't help but think how "unaccepted" that was back then, and how being gay would've negatively impacted your life, b/c of that.

Nowadays, it's quite different. Depending on where you live in the country, it's more more "accepted" than it was 20 yrs. ago. Some of you might disagree, but again--depends where in the country you live. Because here, all the high schools have gay & lesbian (or more properly, GLTB) clubs, there are very visible and raucous Pride Parades in town, and lots of high school kids think it's kind of "cool" if one is Bi. I see girls all the time walking down the halls holding hands. Nobody cares. Either today's kids are way more tolerant, or the harassment is much more hidden. However, I totally see a double standard for boys and girls. Gay boy [students] get a lot more crap than gay girl [students].

I'm definitely straight.

At a party last summer, I was completely hammered and ended up laying a good one on a female friend of mine. It was so disgusting. She kisses great, but she was so soft and squishy. Yuck! I told a male, gay friend of mine, "I'd be gay, too!" [:D]
