<br>Why isn't Tiffany's monstrosity of "I Think We're Alone Now" on the list? Anyone who's still in diapers should not be allowed to record music. Aside from the fact that she wasn't even born when Tommy James and The Shondells ORIGINAL version came out, she's got no idea what she's singing! God forbid her version shows up as a Certs jingle.

Because that monstosity was ecliped by her two follow-ups-- the disgusting sappy ballad "Could've Been" followed up by the cover that makes even the most nonvocal actors, including Will Shatner pale in comparison and that was her cover of the Beatles "I Saw Him Standing There." So that people forget about "I Think We're Alone Now"--and we at least have Lene Lovich to rescue us from that when that happens.

At least back then, a Tiffany or Debbie Gibson would just arrive and disappear. These days we seem to be stuck with Britney Spears and Hilary Duff--it seems like they're not going away.

What's the worst song of the 80's? Simple answer. Anything that wasn't new wave/alternative. And everything in the mainstream.

Really just kidding. I even like some of the songs you people mentioned. I'd take it any day over today's garbage. I'm not a fan of walk the dinosaur. But funny story. They used to always play it at Chuck E Cheese when I was a kid.
