80's Gregorian Chant Music

Postby cgmelg » Tue Aug 29, 2006 12:19 am

I don't know if I am the only one, but I really liked the Chant music that came and went quickly in the 80's. I have worn out Enigma, but I remember having several other Cassettes (Yes, Cassettes)that were of the Chant Genre with kicking Drum Beats. I remember having a song called Prayer and for the life of me can't find it again. Does anyone have any good Chant music with Kicking beats, like that of Enigma?

Nobody has anything to share? I suppose I am the only one that liked that sort of music?

Darkwinksy which single is this mix from? I vaguely remember hunting in futility for this mix back in the day as well as some other ones, but I sense they are rare DJ-only mixes?

By the way, Sadness by Device is a great chant song, very Enigma-esque.

Frankly, I don't know where it came from. I just stumbled upon an mp3 copy. Can send you a copy if you want but I really don't know if it's legit or some small-time DJ's mix.

I would be so glad if you send me the link to the song. Any chant with a good beat I really am into still for some reason.

Don't know if you saw this yet but it looks as if Enigma is releasing a new CD in Sept.

SEPTEMBER 26 Release:

Enigma, A Posteriori:
2006 12-track CD album. Michael Cretu returns with Enigma's much-anticipated sixth album 'A Posteriori' (which is Latin for what comes after, meaning, perhaps, something gleaned from experience) and also ties into the first two Enigma albums, which made Cretu a worldwide superstar.

Here's the Device track

I tried emailing you but it didn't work saying you don't have a yahoo account. What's an email I can use?

Thanks!
