Song ID: Really Vague info, Na Na Na Na....

Ok, sorry, but this is a real challenge, i was in a restaurant and heard a song, but could not make out the lyrics. here's what i've got, it was a new wave/80's song with guitars and synths and female vocals. It was played along with some depeche mode/morrissey/cure songs for context. The primary thing I know about the song is that a major part of the chorus was Na Na Na Na Na Na. I think it was a pretty well known song because it sounded familiar to me, but I couldn't place it and i couldn't make out the lyrics so i could look it up! so any new wave song with female vocals and a chorus with a promininent Na Na Na Na Na.....????
Thanks :)

Closest thing I can think of at the moment is the Primitives - Crash, but it's not got synths.

Does Paul King sound like a woman? It could be "Alone Without You."
