The only posts removed were kimiii's. All the original posts, and responses are intact. Only kimiii's are removed, by her request, and only after a viscious, unwarranted personal attack-post on her, which was directly related to the NWO.

Any long-timers here got the balls to dispute this? Anyone?

I'll dispute one thing, which is that the only posts removed were hers. I don't think anyone would have been upset if he had only junkbinned her posts. He should have put his foot down on 86ing her threads that had others' posts in them (which was, um, all of them), and told her, "I'll delete your posts within those threads, but the thread starters stay." Because, let's not forget, anybody can delete their own posts at any time, no matter how old they are. But they can't delete a thread they started if there are responses to it. So no exception should have been made for her, and -- even though I only lost, I think, 1 post as a result and couldn't care less about its removal -- I can completely understand why that irritated people.

Like I've said before, it's not my house and I don't pay to run it. If Mike wants to remove her, he can. If he wants to remove me, he can do that, too. If he doesn't want to remove anyone or anything, that's his prerogrative, as well. I don't get to decide who gets to stay or go, but if I were going to vote in the poll, it wouldn't be either of those choices. Just call me Switzerland.

So the lesson learned is not to post anything on any thread started by Kimiiiiiiiii, since it may well disappear?

Hutter, that logic would be to say never allow someone to make a mistake, or expect people to be people. So if someone makes a mistake, or does something someone else does not like, then just forever consider anything they do will be wrong or bad also? Do you catigate everyone the same way that does anything not to your liking?? Is this issue, or concern of future threads, really really really that urgent to you that it it is of such major importance in your life? Let it go. Just let it go. Imagine if a bunch of threads vanished overnight. Will you really wake up, notice, and have your life altered??? If so, you have placed way too much importance on something likened to an on-line game where you post and reply, it's all so relatively unimportant in the big picture. At this moment, Mike P could go in a delete every single thought I have ever offered on NWO, and tomorrow I would wake up and have my whole life intact, with no concern over it. It's just so unimportant to me. I respect you have your opinion and your right to how critical all this is to you. We are all different.

I think NNNW is a great place. And if it was not here, this thread would be between the "cars vs. gary newman" and the "what is your favorite nw song" thread.

Amazing you equate a harmless internet chat board to that. At least now I understand your thinking, and will refrain from any reasonable further discussion about this.

I haven't jumped into this because I honestly don't know what happened to start all this. Beyond people being pissed about deleted posts, I don't have one clue as to the rest of whatever happened.

So, that's the one thing that I can comment on: I hope that what we write is never erased again. Sometimes, some us actually put some thought into what we are putting out there because it needs to be said for whatever reason (to help someone, to educate someone, even to make ourselves feel better). I really don't want to put a lot of thought and emotion into something that can be taken away at someone's whim.

Post if you want to post, I say. But should you (and I mean this collectively--I'm not pointing at anyone) later regret your words, don't ruin this for everyone else.

I have to say that I really agree with what Grunch wrote. I know there are a lot of negative feelings (none from me because I think whatever transpired happened when I was pretty new and it flew right over my head), but I can't imagine not forgiving someone.
