Rumour has it that Canada had some great new wave bands in the 80s.

I like Fifth Column a lot but haven't heard too much else.

Is there an authority on this?

One band that's so far been missed is Pointed Sticks. "Out of Luck" deserved a far better fate and the collection is an interesting round-up of the band.

I'm "Half-Canadian" and was visiting my dad in Quebec last week. I caught the tail-end of a video by an '80s synth-pop group called "Indonesia" on some retrospective music show out of Montreal.

First I heard the tune, can't remember it's name, but thought it sounded great, and they were standing around playing synths and had all the hair, makeup, etc.

Anyone ever heard of 'em? I'd like to know more.
