best dresssed ensemble?

(Okay, I'm having trouble with the Search function today, so I don't know if this topic has already been covered…)

Who was the best dressed group of the 80s? Did you like the desert army chic of A Certain Ratio (later to be copied briefly by Echo & the Bunnymen and a whole bunch of other bands)? Duran Duran's super-coordinated outfits? Xymox' timeless goth look? B-52s' bouffant campiness?

I was kinda partial to
-The Smiths (they seemed to have style without really trying too hard and they looked great in denim)
- Eurythmics, circa "Sweet Dreams" (coz I am a sucker for suits, especially on Annie).
- Bananarama's tousled-bleached-hair and loose overalls in the "Cruel Summer" video.

Japan's Glam phase - and Sophisto look (for which other skinny-tie wearing New Romantics copied [8D] ).

Spandau Ballet, ABC and Bow Wow Wow.

Well this is very hard because there alot of smart looking bands in different style.

1. Japan: very sharp looking New Romantics and they look the best of the bunch.
2. The Specials: In its black and white Merc suits in a almost utilitarian Mod unifo

Close runner ups would be Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, and Hubert Kah.
