Sorry that I didn't see this sooner, but Combat Rock was just not up to par in my opinion,as the earlier Clash material.I just don't get into Combat Rock all that much.It is just a mediocre album at best.It doesn't compare to their first 3 albums, which in my opinion were their best albums by far.Anything after London Calling was just sub par,and not what The Clash was all about. That is why both Mick and Joe did not get along in their later years,as they both were fighting over musical differences. While Mick didn't mind the top 40 commercial style and sound of The Clash on later albums,Joe found them to be the total opposite of what The Clash was supposed to be all about, and that was Punk, which none of their later albums stayed.

<br>newwavepopman, I hate to admit it, but you are right with "Cut the Crap" but why would you say the same thing on "Combat Rock" when this album also contains great classic tracks like: Know your Rights, Should I Stay or Should I Go?, Rock the Casbah, Straight to Hell, etc.

No one ever mentions Give em enough Rope when discussing the Clash. It's as if it's their forgotten album.

I think the remaining members of both bands should form a supergroup and call it The Clam. Think of the album covers...

I think they already broke up. The remnants are out trying to shill their old hits, touring as From The Clam.
