Picked up this new DVD about Electronic Post-punk, Human League, ABC, Cabaret Voltaire, Heaven 17. It explores some of the more obscure bands as well. A little short of material, but worth picking up.

... yeps, I was watching the very same DVD just a fortnight ago - some great interviews with the blokes outta H17 and Human League - just a shame there wasn't more Jarvis Cocker being interviewed (I appreciate that he wasn't really part of the music scene until Pulp first kicked off in the very early 80s, but he's a proper character!). As you say, it was a bit short but I guess you can pick this up mid-price now so it represents value for money especially for anyone into their early 80s UK electronic music. Were you also surprised at how different Vice Versa were to ABC which they would later become?!

One thing that did occur to me was concerning the comments made about Sheffield acts at that particular time having to go to London to get noticed, which were similiar to those made in the Scottish scene at the same time too (the Glasgow School and all that).
