I actually met Molly Ringwald and Ally Sheedy when they were filming Betsy's Wedding with Alan Alda, whom I also shook hands with. They were filming at my school, F.I.T. but unfortunately none of it made it to the final cut except for like one shot of Alan Alda on the corner. Molly was a bit of a bitch but Ally was a sweetheart. To be fair though, Molly was probably trying to focus on getting in character.....

Also- here's a question about the movie soundtrack- hopefully someone can help me.

What is the name of the song and artist of the first tune that is playing when Samantha arrives at the dance. It's the song when you see the first shot of the kids on the gym floor dancing, and the one where the nerd kid's parents force him in the door, and then he runs off to find another exit.

Can anyone help? I know all of the other songs that were played in the dance sequence except for that one, and it's always driven me nuts.

The night I met Molly was when I booked her older sister's boyfriend's band, The Rave-Ups at the Nugget A Go-Go for a fund raising concert to raise money for the stdents' newspaper, The Union... she was very nice, probally because she wasn't working...

BTW, also on the line-up was The Lawns, yup the guys from The Suburban Lawns, minus Sue Tissue, and Pearls Before Swine and The Minutemen, shortly before D. Boon's untimely death. [:(]
