This section vs. that section!

Postby phillyidol » Sun Nov 21, 2004 10:01 am

So far, the people in "THAT" section never mention this one because we love it. If I want to find out about music, this is the place to get answers. The whole point of this board is new wave. But people, well most people, tend to want to know other things about the people they talk to every day. Thus the other section was born. And now I am not told to get a life because I ask how someones doing. Everyone is happy. Well, some people are not happy because they cant just ignore what they don't like. I see 900 this vs thats here and I'm not complaining. Lets all lighten up! Its a board. Everyone has lives. We can all coexist without little comments about eachother. I find everyone (yes everyone) very smart and funny. If there is a new section on this board for horse lovers I ccould care less. It frees up another section for music only stuff. It makes sense! In the words of Rodney King" stop hitting me! and cant we all get along? I was told take the high road. So I do. We all should practice what we preach. And I'm sure we will all have fun together on this great board.

Well you really wanted my opinion, so here goes...

In my humble opinion, 90% of the threads in that other section are useless crap. I regularly peruse the topics, but only glance at about 10% of the threads. Of that 10%, only a few discussions seem w

AHHH FRITZ! How did I know it would be you. But I am pleased with your opinion on it. And yes you are right, this does belong "over there" But knowing you as a part of this board its good to also know you think that other things serve a purpose. I am goin

It's common knowledge that the NWO officially jumped the shark when it added the **Not Necessarily New Wave** section.

After me and fritz talked about it, I really wanted to delete this thread but I dont know how. Someone please help, I really don't think we need more negative stuff in the world. We talked, we are fine, we are all 80's fans, and life goes on. I pretty muc

I am appreciative of both sections, I enjoy this section for the (usually) no-nonsense discussion of New Wave. I enjoy the other section for it's informality and a chance to get to know other board members.
