The same song twice in a row?

Postby more than this » Wed Nov 24, 2004 10:46 am

Pete Wylie's "Sinful" came on earlier today, it had been a while since I'd listened to it. I was reminded of how much I enjoy it, so I replayed it after it was through. Which got me thinking. Like most of you I assume, I have a lot of music, I know what I like, and I've heard it all many, many times before. It's rare for me to want to hear the same song twice in a row, no matter how good it is. So I wonder if this is true for the rest of you, and what song, if any, have you repeated lately?

Just for fun, I've made the extended mix of Pete Wylie - Sinful available for anyone who's interested. It's great quality, but 11.5MB, so give it a minute.

***edit*** I don't know how much longer this song will be up, so get it while you can [:)]

I'd be like one of those monkeys that pushes the button to get more crack if I had my way [:D] Again, I have to keep in mind this has to be related to New Wave and New Romantic, that'll limit my choices...

Great track Wozgo. Agree with XXX's "Perfect Kiss" and "Oscillate Wildly" too. "Zero Hour"...grin, I can loop that, "Now", "Million Miles Away", and "Oldest Story in the World" over and over again while driving.

For me, there's a ton of Joy Division th

Ash - Girl From Mars
Fugazi - Cashout
Click Click - Awake And Watching
The Thermals - How We Know

and

Taylor Dayne - I'll Be Your Shelter (I'm working on a cover of this one)[}:)]

I do that a lot too. Just a while ago, I replayed 10,000 maniacs' "Eat for Two" then "Like the Weather"... also The Smiths' "Work is a Four-Letter Word"

...and before that- Pulp's "Something Changed" and "Pencil Skirt", naughty naughty Jarvis Cocker!

I recall listening to "Female Of The Species" by Space over and over and over when it was new.

In the past, I remember playing "Nemesis" by Shriekback over and over again for about 20 minutes, and I annoyed my college roommate with repeated successive playings of "Anna Rexia" by the Fabulous Poodles.

if I'm in the mood during ANY particular song, I'll play it over and over. But the ones that most often get a push of the "repeat" button (or got rewound on the tape) :

"Promised You a Miracle" -Simple Minds (those bass riffs always get me!)
