Rare And Obscure Arizona Bands

I have started a site with a bunch of links, info and mp3's of Arizona bands from the late 70's to early 2000's. The Gin Blossoms, Meat Puppets, Jimmy Eat World are briefly covered with many fine links but there are some really cool bands covered that have graced these pages:
Billy Clone & The Same
Gentlemen Afterdark
Killer Pussy
The Jetzons
Jagged Rocks On the Perimeter

...to name a few. There are many obscure mp3's available for download, pictures of bands, etc. New Wave, Punk and Alternative is the focus.

Do you have anything by The Strand? I used to visit Kimber from Halfstring at Stinkweeds on a weekly basis. I wonder what she's up to now.

no, still no Strand CD (I'm looking though!) although I have quite a bit of mp3's to add in the next few weeks from Beat Angels, Drakes, Gas Giants (Gin Blossoms side project) Jonny Sevin, Piersons, Swooping Monkeybats and Tripping With Grace to name a few!

I talked with Kimber last week, Stinkweeds has moved downtown, she is in a band with former members of Trunk Federation and Burning Bush and she runs "Modified Arts" a place for the truly hip bands to play. She has been a major player in the Arizona scene for years.

Weren't the Sidewinders from AZ? I saw them in LA opening for someone -- too old now to remember who -- and really loved them.

Yes, the Sidewinders are from AZ, Tucson to be specific, they are covered on the site in the Tucson section but will be getting their own heading soon! Thanks for the kind words!
