I think that some people find spic offensive so I deleted it.
That's basically it.
Quite honestly I didn't see the post with "Flip". If something like that bothers you again, please email the mods or Mike P.

Way to go Marie. Nothing like throwing the first ammendment out the window. I can name at least ten other things on the boards that offend me a thousand times more than spic did. Maybe someone on MTV or that fat guy from "King of Queens" will make the term "Spic" trendy and Hip and then wont you feel like a stupid. Mexican, Equidorians, Peruvians, Paraguayans, Uraguayans, Chillians, San Salvadorians, Venezualans and Californians all over the world will be proud to be "Spics" I know I am [;)]

XXX, I am sorry about this thread moving off the subject. You have many valid points.
Actually, I was laughing the other night that the IRS is after Wesly Snipes for tax fraud while all these illegal immigrants aren't paying a dime in taxes.

So, is it a derogatory term to call someone an Arizonan?

"No spik d' English?" That's an old wives tale. Everybody knows it's derived from "SPanish mICk."

I knew he didn't mean anything by it but since I'm not a spic and just a half-mick/half-frog grayboy honky cracka ass cracka muthafucka I guess my opinion doesn't matter. *(Notice I put Mick first, SS!)*

Don't worry about it though, Dar. No matter what you do, you're going to offend somebody.

I'd like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that it's only 3 weeks until Mansonmas! This fighting really isn't in the spirit of the season, now is it? Praise Charlie.

LOL! Dar's too stupid (or lazy) to be offensive.

Mansonmas...do tell. Google only gives 4 listings, none of which give a clear explanation.

November 12 is Charlie's birthday. It seems to be more of an "unofficial" holiday at this time.

That's what I thought it would be. It would be cool if people celebrated the day by giving Manson stares to each other.

Too bad Lyons wasn't from the Philippines, then his remarks wouldn't have been offensive.
It's natural that if you border another country like Mexico there will be huge spillovers like in southern California and Texas. It saddens me that now the growing U.S population is using Mexican immigration as an excuse for this country's problems. Mexicans are hard workers, so are other Central Americans. It was true when the Mexican President said that Mexicans hold more and longer jobs than Blacks and most whites in this country, menial jobs with low pay and no benefits. The same excuse was used back in the turn of the century with the Irish...America back then claimed that Europe is vomiting.
[/quote]

Awwwww, those poor illegal imigrants. They should be left alone to burden our public facilities like transportation, medical care, sanitation, public school, electricity, waterworks, etc. Facilities they're exempt from contributing to because of their rightful status in this country. Our taxes and insurance premiums *should* be raised to benefit these people who bleed money from our economy by funneling it back to their countries. The Mexican president can kiss my light brown ass. Somebody tell him to make his own country more attractive so his own people stay there and get jobs they're so good at holding down. Get a clue E-side [V]

What I don't understand is the demands made by so many of the illegals (oops, the PC term should be "differently documented", my bad) for rights too! yes, of course we all should have equal human rights--life, liberty, happiness--which is ironic b/c that is why so many of them come here. But to illegally cross the border and demand free health care, schooling, and other "rights" is incomprehensible to me.

This is like me coming to your house and demanding some of the money you've put in the bank. I've done nothing to contribute to that bank account, yet I fully expect to partake in the riches, citing the fact that I am also human.

I sympathize with them wanting a better life, but I owe them nothing more than good wishes unless they've come in through proper channels.

We've seen the same thing here in Canada for years. Our healthcare system is near it's breaking point because of the amount of people who use the system yet don't contribute to it's operating costs.
