Any other fans out there? Great band out of Portland OR. If you have not yet heard them, go pick up 'Is This Real. Great stuff.

I agree WPP, great stuff indeed. Had the pleasure of seeing the Wipers about 1982. I was really into Their Youth Of America album at the time. Their first set was great, but unfortunately I never got to see any more. The bar owner got word that the Liquor Control Board inspectors were in the area and went around double-checking ID's. My girlfriend was only 19 so we got the boot. However I would have to suggest buying their box set and not just "Is This Real".

I love their sound! [i]Over the Edge[/i] is my favourite LP. I totally dig the guitar effects they have, and they're a pretty tight outfit. Greg Sage's lyrics were always intriguing essays on alienation and loneliness. "No One Wants an Alien" and "So Young" are my absolute favourite songs by them.
