Hi all,

This sample thing's been buggin' me man; buggin' me! You know the "Let me tell you about my mother" sample that's on the extended mix of "Love Missile F1-11." Well, me thinks it's taken from the scene in "Sixteen Candles" where Jake is talking to Geek (Anthony Michael Hall) in the kitchen the morning after the party which left his parent's house totally trashed. Am I right? If not, where does that "Let me tell you about my mother" sample come from?

Leon during the Voight Kampf test in Blade Runner.

That's what I always thought. He says those exact words before blowing the other dude's head off.

"Soon, the whole world will know my name" was from Rocky 3, I think ... the Russian boxer.

Can't remember any other samples at the moment. Well, there were a bunch from Clockwork Orange, I've been told.

obs, you are correct about the Blade Runner sample. I'm not sure about Rocky 3, but that sounds right.

Other samples:
From "Clockwork Orange" - "...ultraviolence..."
From "Scarface" - "...first you get the money, then you get the power..."

Can anyone identify the samples from Dancerama? I know:

I love you, the way you were" is from Blade Runner

Oops, "Soon the whole world will know my name" is actually from the Rocky IV teaser.

That dialogue doesn't actually appear in the movie.
