Anyone here know a program for the MAC that will allow me to convert DVD .VOB files to another type of video file such as .MPG or .MPEG4

It's best to leave all the VOB objects in their respective Video_TS and/or Audio_TS directories and just use something like Handbrake to convert chapters directly to mpeg. It's a FREE and indispensible tool. If the DVD is protected, another free tool, Mac The Ripper, can help retrieve those files first for subsequent conversion.

I downloaded Handbrake and when I go to open it, it goes to the bottom of my screen and fades away, I can't open the file, any reason why? It pops down there on the bar and just disappears very quickly it never loads up ...
