the most depressing day of the year

My choice is obvious given the day I chose to post this poll, although #2 is close.

I went with the day after seeing far away friends.

My family lives pretty far away & it depresses the shit out of me when we have our brief yearly visits & we have to part ways.

I so wish mom wasn't in Sing-Sing.

LOL @ the anniversary of the day you did that thing everyone keeps talking about.

Christmas is my prime-time. I love it, nothing depresses me...not even a "12 days of a 'lectric motors Christmas!" [;)]

[:D]. Since 11/30/05 wasn't a choice (fanciz's NWO join date), I voted for nonexistmas even though it's hard to be too depressed when I have a day off and football's on TV. The other days listed have no effect at all on me, although the last election day kind of sucked. [xx(]

I voted for Christmas, although I'm not particularly religious. What's so depressing is that the build up to it is enormous, and it can never live up to people's unrealistic expectations. It's supposed to be perfect, with everyone getting exactly what they want, and family getting along perfectly. I haven't lived near my family for two decades, so when everyone else is spending the season with their families, I always feel left out. This year is going to be especially tough in that department. I'm always very relieved when Christmas is finished and we can get back to normal.

I'm not sure what to answer here. Right now, I'm feeling pretty crushed because last Thursday, I was T-boned in my Duster in traffic. I was in the ER all day, hooked up to an IV and a neck brace. THANK goodness I'm OK, walking and talking. Just some lacerations and some bruises. It was right before school, so the principal and some teachers all came to see me--and the principal ordered me to stay home for a few days. I'm restless now and anxious to get back to school.
Of course I am thankful that I am in one piece...but my poor Duster (who saved my life, btw, all 3300 lbs. of steel !) is no more. Not even salvagable. *sniff* I'm OK, though!

Oh, KYYX, I'm so glad you're OK. How frightening that must have been. Although it's sad to lose your beloved Duster, I'm sure you're comforted to know that her mass kept you safe.

We are all glad you are OK.

I like my little Honda Civic, but I sure as hell hope I'm never T-boned in it.

Oh, my gosh! I am so glad you are OK (and so sorry about your beloved car)!

Be well.

Well, *any* day that I have to go to work depresses the shit out of me.

I'm ready to retire.

Thanks guys, I appreciate your words.
One frightening thing was that I was knocked unconscious for a short time, so I don't remember a thing...until I woke up in the ambulance. Talk about freaky !
