Bad movies that weirded you out?

Went to see bizarre and horror films again today... it was cool. I liked one called "La vida poco significante del ají" very much.

Crash--the Cronenberg movie.

I thought it was almost unwatchable from a plot and pacing viewpoint--never mind the bizarre sex contained within. But when Spader started rogering the skinhead from "Some Kind of Wonderful", and started sticking his little Spader into Rosanna Arquette's leg wound, sitting through it became an almost Herculean task. I'm proud that I managed to get to the end--not because there was any great payoff (there wasn't), but because so many others have tried and failed.

Thats not the crash that won all the awards? It was about 2 years ago? Spader and Arquette were not in that one. Was my one a remake?

Agree with many of the opinions called out above. I saw "Laserblast" as a kid. It's one of those movies along with "It's Alive 3: Island of the Alive" and some Santa Claus as a slasher movie that for whatever reason I associate with migraine headaches.

One movie that stands out for me from when I was a kid is "Trilogy of Terror" with Karen Black. Particularly one of the final scenes where she's all possessed and pounding a knife into the floor.

Not quite within the theme of the thread, but worth mentioning, I just saw a really [i]good[/i] (and recent) movie called "Hard Candy", in which a teenage girl turns the tables on an internet predator. It's really disturbing, especially the first 15 or 20 minutes, but then it just becomes kick-ass.

No, it's a different (really messed up) movie from about 10 years ago. It's about a group of car crash fetishists. I liked but I can certainly see why no one else seems to. Still, it was a lot better than the other Crash, which was just horrible.

I remember hearing about that movie, it does sound very weird indeed.Funny how some peopel find risking death a turn-on I personally find it bloody scary!I can't think of many thinks less sexy than a carcrash, yes a very strange idea for a film indeed![:0]

A Japaneese film called "The Audition" looked totally scary and brutal, saw just a few scenes on IFC's 100 scarest movies countdown... Totally creepy and sick.

When I first read/ heard about the latest Crash movie, I thought WOW! Sandra Bullock must be doing the role of Rosanna Arquette from the original ... or maybe the role of the other chick.. yum! But it made no sense that the movie was getting so many nominations/ awards if the storyline was the same so I was disappointed. However, after watching it, I found it wasn't so bad after all.

And philly, I loved the Spader-Crash. It was so weird and I really didn't know what to expect but it was good nonetheless.

<p align="justify">[i]Hard Candy[/i] is the crappiest crap I've ever seen, BUT I think it's very fitting it gets a mention in this topic because it IS a bad movie and it makes the audience feel weird. Some folks who saw the movie were sympathetic with the paedophile through most of it. Strangely enough, even after seeing what transpired right before their eyes a lot of the audience STILL see the character of "hayley" as a 14-year old[xx(]
