Which track do you own most times?

Postby neworder » Tue Feb 22, 2005 6:10 pm

For me it's Blue Monday.
Apart from buying it at the time, it's appeared on New order compilations, remixes, 80's compilations and electronic/alternative compilations.
I have it so many times, I can,t even be bothered to try counting.
It's rare that a compilation of the period doesn't contain it.
It's a tribute to the genius of the track that I still don't get bored listening to it.

It's followed closely for me by Fools Gold by the Stone Roses: another mainstay of Alternative compilations.

Good question. It's strange that music is one of the few things you seem to keep buying and buying but the labels say you don't 'own' any of it! [:D]

"Blue Monday" is probably up there 10+ times on mp3 but 'bought' maybe only 4 times. Orbital's "Belfas

There have been way too many remixes and covers of this song...

I'm guessing you're looking for the song that always seems to appear on your compilations:

For me it's definitely Tears For Fears "Shout" (on 10 different CD albums and compilations). I'm not even counting the couple copies on vinyl! [:p]

Not by choice but I swear these three songs appear on almost every compilation that I buy:

Tainted Love - Soft Cell
Relax - Frankie Goes To Hollywood
You Spin Me Round - Dead Or Alive

I love all three songs but it is overkill what the record compa

I think every Kate Bush album. Honestly, there was a long period of time that I went through periods of buying her albums, deciding I didn't like them any longer, then realizing later that I missed them. I swear I must have bought and gotten rid of "The D

for me..."Love My Way" by Psych Furs, and all the singles off of Songs from the Big Chair by TFF came to mind, but the winner is probably "London Calling"--on *THREE* separate soundtracks, no less, let alone the album of the same name. SO there you go...

If you mean songs that end up the most on your compilations, with me, it's:
Late Bar - Duran Duran
Let's Go to Bed & Lovecats - Cure
Baby Oh No - Bow Wow Wow

Good call on all the different Ne
