Post Punk Diary

Postby waukena » Tue Mar 01, 2005 7:47 am

There's a must have book for anyone in love with what was happening on the NW front in the early 80s, called 'Post Punk Diary 1980-1982'. It's by George Gimarc and its ISBN is 0-312-16968
It's the best book I've ever seen about these years.
It's also gotta be way outta print but worth your while if you can dig a copy up...

Agreed. Also check out Punk Diary 1970-1979 by the same author. Great stuff.

Great books, they were mandetory bathroom reading in the band house I used to live in. I coulda lived without the Hagfish songs on the cd though.

Both are great books. I thought the Hagfish tracks were cool.

I knew there had to be a thread on here for these books. I just bought "Post Punk" & it is fabulous. What the hell took me so long to find this?! [:(!]

His two Punk/Post-Punk books are always with me when I am at the radio station. Gimarc also influenced me to continue playing New Wave on the radio. I miss the first two years of KDGE (90-91) when he was PD.

My fault I had to ask. Shame on me [:)]
