From what I've read here, that couldn't be said for everyone who was on the hub.

I am on dial up, so what? That doesn't mean I don't have great music to share and if it makes that much of a difference to you I say you are jackasses...
I know next to nothing about hubs, so I'll speak from my experience using Soulseek...your connection is going to make you enemies, just out of the sheer frustration at the slow d/l's.
...but when something is taken away from you and you did nothing to deserve it, well you start to wonder the secrecy of it all.
Maybe a better way to look at it is that you were part of something wonderful in the way of a music sharing community instead of being something that was taken away from you.
Not to mention I have been a member for 3+ years and there are people in the "haven" that are fairly new but since they have a well organized and extensive music collection it makes them better than everyone else.
You said earlier that you didn't care one way or the other re: the hub. This post suggests otherwise.

Typical responses, but you are right and I do not care and even if my account would be reinstated I would not be part of it.

In that case, I don't know anything about HUBs...but there are some here who are stricken with this affliction.

That's OK Kimiii....these NWO/HUB eltists will only have themselves to play with if they choose to go about the way they have in the recent past. I guarantee that Tiger's list of elitle HUBBERS will for the most part include the MODS of the NWO...PUCKER UP dude! [:X] I cannot understand why someone would choose to limit the amount of users on a HUB since more generaly equals a merry plethora of stuff to exchange. What will they do when everyone equals themselves in shared music? Chat? And what of the so called assholes and jack asses on the NWO or HUB...that is the beauty of the internet...free speech and the exchange of meaningless bullshit. Can't stand the heat.... I actually do care that the Wave 2 is down...lots of great people on there and we had some great chats. Yeah we had bad apples but a lot less than on here. It was especially nice to see how the west coasters would come up on the HUB as we here in the East were going to bed. This may be my last post as I have spoken ill of the secret police. So if it is thanks for the memories.

This is the consistent whiney-ass, entitlement bullshit that I expected from you Nero, and gives everyone some insight to the bullshit I had to put up with and why I closed down the original hub.

SO what if I opened a new hub and didn't include you? Like Frayo challeneged you and everyone else here: untwist your panties and sponsor your own sharing facility. Or do you not have enough of a backbone to take on the responsibility? It was my ass in the sling, and after enough pissing and moaning, I just decided it wasn't worth all the school-girl drama.

Seems simple enough to me. I seem to recall...

1. One of the hub rules was not to publicly post the hub address - 1st rule of soap club if you will.
2. There were other general sharing rules like reshare what you take and try to have things properly tagged and organized
3. There were also unwritten understandings like don't suck off someone for weeks on end, don't pop on on to grab stuff then just leave, and don't be a complete asshole or whiner all the while looking a gift horse in the mouth.
4. Then there were some people who unfortunately had terrible connections that didn't enable decent sharing. You couldn't get to their stuff and when they tried to get your stuff, they'd tie up your connection forever. Not purposeful but not useful either.

If you were at odds with the above rules, I think it was the owner's prerogative to remove you from the hub. After awhile, clearly the owner felt that running a public hub was too much risk for his return of the hassles it involved and shut it down. Now if he's running a seperate private hub, whose business is that??

The New Wave 2 was not public...as it was by invitation only references required to join. So this NEW HUB if it exists must be a more private HUB.

If I broke any of the rules I was not informed that I had comitted a digression. If I did I apologize post facto.....

Of course TIGER can do what he wants and if there is a secret HUB then so be it. It must be boring anyway such a sterile place with everyone agreeing with each other and shit. But you can understand that if there is such a place some of us who thought we were well behaved and shared to our hearts content (I did go away for long periods of time due to my work)have had our feelings hurt that we weren't asked or let into the new HUB. I read the rules posted above and I don't recall having TIGER chastise me for any of those.

As for hosting I am unable to do so due to my job which lately entails always travelling. I have offered my technical and other assistance for anyone wishing to host.

As you can tell I don't even post much on here anyways becasue all the peace makers have turned war officers on here...so instead of having a post deleted I just won't post that much. Maybe just an odd shout out for NATE or something.

Hey Blir, I'll take the 40 a day plan as well...

I was thinking of starting up a hub, but having watched all this action unfold, I'll take a pass. If Nate did it so right, why did he stop? Seeing what has been posted here, I think I have a good idea why.

For my part, I've never found Tiger to be the Secret Elitist COntrolling Bastard he's been touted to be, he's always given generously of his time to review my limited musical collection to offer advice on how to fill in the gaps...oh, and he helps me dispose of nasty pictures.

My new secret hub was so secret, I didn't even know about it.
