Why are Secret HUB posts being deleted?

Nice one Motors. I always found those threads to simply exist to make fun of the people who post threads like that. If you're going to get hot about somebody being mean, then consider the spirit of those threads & how it appeared to some of us.

This secret hub issue amazes me. If my neighbors built a new driveway, I wouldn't feel that I had a right to park in it. It all rings of entitlement to me.

I did the registration end of the old hub. There was only one person who did not receive a response from me. Considering how much complaining I dealt with - I can only imagine the volumes that Tiger had to deal with. I don't blame him one bit for closing it down.

Think back to older threads about the hub - nothing but complaints and not one thank you to him for hosting. It was shameful.

It was thought that perhaps members in the thread in question could contact Tiger privately with any questions they may have concerning this subject.
I emailed Tiger concerning the old Hub/new Hub but never heard back. I also emailed him when my posts were deleted. I have not heard back.

You have called the mods cowards for not contacting you. The reverse accusation could be made. I don't believe any of the mods received a communication from you or nerolance regarding the situation.
The moment that I realized that my post had been deleted, I DID contact a Moderator. MarvyMarv was on AOL so I messaged him. I was decent and non-confrontational in my approach, knowing that anything I say would probably be misconstrued. The immediate response that I got back from him was full of vile, sexual name-calling, with no answer to my NWO question. I also emailed MikeP to ask him why my post was deleted but have not heard back from him yet.

So, I did exactly what you suggested before asking about it on the board.

Now, THAT is laughable. Not about you, NuWaveRx - but have you missed the posts made my Marie3 toward me? This one is my favorite -

So where is the effort to keep NWO a friendly site???? Not with comments like that, FROM A MODERATOR.

If the goal of a Moderator is to keep this a friendly, active site (and special, as you put it) then how come Eight6 is allowed to berate members such as Fanciz and Panorama, with nothing being said or deleted? But when Fanciz called Eight6 a Bully, MarvyMarv immediately accused him of being troll-like and threatened a strike against him. Tigermn calls Fanciz a f-tard, calls him an ass~eel, and that's all well & good in the Moderators' opinion. In keeping with the loving atmosphere, why does Motors get to use a signature line that is so negative against me? MikeP locked that thread for a reason... don't you think?

If you truly believe that we became mods to garner a sense of power and impose solely our will on the membership here, all I can say is--you are wrong as you can be.
To that I give you a post from the John Kerry thread -

That's it. I'm deleting your posts at will, dipshit.
How is that NOT imposing and abusing the Mod powers? Marv's deletion of Stella's posts had nothing to do with NWO regulations. It was purely personal.

Clearly, at least one Mod deletes posts or reprimands members that he does not like and there is no neutrality whatsoever. Is this type of bias a good trait for a Mod?

Whoah there! I'll take credit for calling him a fucktard, since he is one, but it was Motors who established him as an ass-eel.

Carry on.

Correction...berate the stupidity of those members. Their hypocrisy is well known here, if you bothered to go back and read more than the past couple of weeks you'd know that. And who says I haven't been admonished by the mods and MikeP for some of the things I've posted? I can tell you I have, many times, by both present and past mods, as well as MikeP. Again, all seeing, all knowing. You don't have a clue.

If I take issue with someone it remains between us and if possible in that thread. The problem with fanciz was he carried it outside the thread it should have stayed in. He's a total suck who can't bear the thought of a counter opinion. I've never once cried foul or gone running to a mod, I'll live with what I post. Poor example to try and hang somebody with. Marv did what he should have done.

Who knows? Maybe because he thought of it first.

Aren't you the one who started the thread "Attack/Acceptance thread -get it over with here"? When you did that you invited myself and others comments whether they be good or bad, regardless if I am a MODERATOR or not.

Eight6,

You take every chance you can to attack Panorama and Fanciz - in multiple threads. Nice try, but your complaint about being followed from thread to thread is your MO.

You're right when you say that I have no way of knowing whether you've been admonished by the Mods... but if you have, it has obviously done no good because you continue to be ruthlessly negative. Your posts are allowed to stand and nothing is said about it by the Mods on the board.

Your failed attempt at explaining Motors sig line in a humorous vein simply sidesteps the real point of my question. Let's put it back into context by restating the original idea-
NewWaveRx said that the Mods were here to keep the site friendly and special. Motors signature conveys the exact opposite. So which is it? You can't make that kind of a statement yet let that kind of a sig line stand.

Yes, I did start that thread, Marie. It was started out of frustration and anger that I couldn't make even the most benign posts on NWO without having some sort of personal, off-topic slam said about me. If you MODERATORS had been doing a good job, I wouldn't have felt the need to create that thread in the first place.

But that thread showed that you aren't worried about keeping NWO a place for all to participate freely. I should be able to come here and post without a MODERATOR publicly stating that I'm a "cancer." Especially when I have done nothing to you, Marie.

Your interpretation...what else matters, right?

Why don't you complain then...post deletion is a specialty of yours, and you've certainly been successful in the past. I'm not always ruthlessly negative, it's just your perception, as it is for many of the other people who feel they can post shit without being called on it.

I didn't sidestep anything...he's just faster than the rest of us. You seem to be brimming with solutions to the boards problems...air them out for all to consider. Why not suggest to MikeP that you become a mod...that way you can ferret out all that ails the site.

You know, the door is always an option.
