I finally got to see this! Thank you Vh1C - although I was disappointed at the cuts.

What an awesome show though - I have never heard of Chelsea, but really loved their song. It was cool seeing a lot of these bands pre-fame or just as they were hitting big. I particularly liked the Go-Go's with a chubby Belinda Carlisle, she was awful cute. Klaus Nomi was great too.

2 years ago Comcast Digital HD channel In Demand aired Urgh! I believe it was the complete show (just barely over 2 hours with no commercials) in letter box format. I put it all on DVD and had to cut the outtro music and credits to get it to fit onto 1 disc. The sound and picture were perfect, so there are excellent copies floating around of the show. Skafish, Gary Numan, Invisible Sex, Surf Punks, and all the others were shown. I made a copy for Antisoshal over a year ago after he released his 2.0 version, so he has a excellent copy too.

Now I finally understand all the hoopla about Urgh!, although I, too, am bummed by all the performances that got cut. How could they cut Gary Numan??? Klaus Nomi was mesmerizing! It was great also to see X, Wall of Voodoo, Devo, Dead Kennedy's, Gang of Four, and Echo and the Bunnymen. I'm looking forward to watching it again!

YES! The Uniondale Mini-Cinema where I also saw Rocky Horror countless times.

If I recall, this was shown as a double feature with Sid and Nancy.

I remember when I was a kid my mom used to drop me and my friends off at the Uniondale Mini-cinema to go see Marx Brothers movies.

When I was older I went to midnight Rocky Horror Show.

I was very lucky to be able to see it in a theater in Cleveland Ohio (where I live) last year (2005). That was the first time I saw it. It was amazing! I especially liked the performances by Gary Numan, Klaus Nomi, and Jools Holland among others!

Was Toyah in Urgh? I don't remember seeing her. Was she the female vocalist that performed with Jools Holland?

In the version I saw, Toyah was the second performer. She did a song called Danced & her performance looked like an aerobics class.

I really like her a lot, but I've seen much better clips of her than in Urgh.

Toyah was not singing for Jools Holland or anyone else, she was the #1 female vocalist in UK in 81/82 during the period of this filming,and Miles Copeland was trying to work out a deal with the UK label that had signed her, Safari Records, but it never worked out,and her stuff was never released here; check out

Fast-forward through the Toyah song and it REALLY looks like an '80s aerobic class. (I still love the performance, though)
