Uggh! I'm glad I missed it if Brandon Flowers was THAT bad!

Personally I think the album is a major miscalculation. One or two good tracks but the rest sounds scarily similar to Meat Loaf (shudder)

Some of the songs were the type that had to grow on me. I do enjoy Sams Town, Bones, Where The White Boys Dance, Bling, and a few others.

Anyone else think the vocal lines--not the instrumentations but just the melody of the vocals--sounded a lot like the Blue Nile?

This album hurts my ears. No rhythm or melody or even much of a decent beat. Every song starts like greyhounds out of the gate, furiously trying to get to the finish. WTF is this all about? Yuck.

Yeah. I said it would grow on me, but I lied.

I still expect good things from The Killers on down the road. I thought Hot Fuss was great and I do think they are talented. But I think they are young and need some more work (Brandon Flowers swings wildly from good stage presence to horrid and even admits he needs to come a long way around), and I think following up Hot Fuss must have been awfully scary.

A few decent songs, I like "Bones" but too big of a departure for me, the funny thing, I gave this CD more listens than I usually do for a CD that is Fair, not sure why.

Now, "Mr. Brightside", that's a classic [}:)][;)]

I have to admit I've become strangely fascianted with this album. It's almost as if Ed Wood made a record, it's that misguided and artless. By far the biggest dissapointment and yet...the best comedy album of the year.

Note to Brandon Flowers: An imitation of Bruce Sprinsteen already exists. They're called John Cafferty And The Beaver Brown Band...playing a local Six Flags amusement park near you.
