Ollie,
You sure are right! As soon as I listened to the song, I realized my error. It's hard, because I only had the opportunity to see the film once, and it was early in my exploration/education of this great music that is New Wave. I remember that there were several performances that stood out for me. And one was a female singer who danced around on the stange with such energy that it was like an aerobics class. For some reason I got the names switched around (I wished I had a pen and paper so that I could jot down all of the stand-out performances), and I thought that this female singer was performing with Jools Holland, who was also featured in the film. I now have now learned that the mystery singer who I remembered was none other than Toyah Willcox. Thanks to everyone on this great board who helped me figure this out. And Sorry for any confusion. I'm still learning new things every day, especially as I wasn't even born when many of these songs came out. Thanks!

p.s. It's also interesting how there are so many different versions of this movie, well, I guess I shouldn't say "versions", I just think that some performances were omitted on certain showings due to time restrictions. When I looked at the track listing for the Urgh CD that is available on Amazon (For $40 Yikes!), Toyah is not even listed.
