I wish! WLP - white label promo. As in, the special copies that radio stations get (usually with the same song on both sides). They don't necessarily have to be white. RCA used to make yellow label promos. Atlantic made light blue ones.

Shortlived Brisbane, Australia trio who put out 4 singles and an album on Festival/Mushroom Records. The first single, "Singing in the '80s," was the hit there (you can find that video on YouTube, too) but I like "Nobody" much better. It was the first thing I heard of theirs -- a deaf buy that really paid off. I still can't find a copy of the album, though!

Aside from being every "Dateline: To Catch a Predator" subject's dream, the Blakeney twins later appeared on the soap, "Neighbours."

Very much in the same musical vein IMO as Loose Joints or Imagination ('Changes') or even Junior (Mamma Used To Say). It is also musically akin to Slave/Steve Arrington's (Just a Touch of Love) and Booker T - (Don't Stop Your Love) all of these made for some great roller rink music.

It's pretty nice conversing with people who know good, obscure music. I work with 400+ people and if there's a conversation relating to 80's music, it usually involve Journey, REO Speedwagon & Styx. Anyway, here's I-Level's #4. Damn! this is good stuff.

Their debut is one of my favorite albums. In fact, I was just listening to it the other morning. I wish I had gotten some of their 12" singles and the "Shake" LP before I got rid of my turntable. I've never heard anything else from them other than the tracks on the LP.

I still check periodically to see if they've gotten a CD release and I'm kind of surprised they haven't in all of these years. Didn't they have some hits in the UK?

One of my favorites also. Doubt if you'll ever see a CD release. Then again maybe in the UK. Someone above mentioned the flip side of the 12" of Give Me(3AM). Don't think I've heard that one. Does anyone have that one in mp3.

3AM is sort of an instrumental remix of Give Me.

The only instance I know of I Level appearing on an official CD is Give Me on a compilation called [Classic Groove - Brit Funk]. It's the same version as the one posted above.

There is also an 'American remix' (7'53") by John Luongo on another compilation called Methods of Dance Vol.2 from 1982, on vinyl and cassette.

I have Minefield on minidisc which I recorded from a friends CD. Can't remember the name of it though. It was a compilation of 80's soul and dance music.

I didn't there ever was a Vol.2, I only bought Vol. 1 of M.O.D. (of course the cover never said Volume 1!), now I'll be looking for it...
