True it’s a dream mixed with nostalgia
But it’s a dream that I’ll always hang on to

Backwater!
We're drifting at the water-line

Oh God, It's another night
And your head is feeling like a lump of lead
You should never have drunk those party fours
You should have been home being good instead
And the feeling of deja vu in the end

Poets call it bitter sweet,
Write what they like,
words wont surfice,
words don't hurt (Oh yes they do, yes they do)
But words can make you want to lay down and die,
all you had to do was whisper "goodbye",

I love this song from Crowded House, Don't Dream it's Over....

"In the paper today, tells of war and of waste,
but you turn right over to the TV page"

And the Jams Beat Surrender...

"And as it was in the beginning, and so shall it be in the end

"I know it's out of fashion
and a trifle uncool,
but I can't help it,
I'm a romantic fool."

--"Echo Beach," Martha & the Muffins

It's the word "trifle" that makes this poetry.
