Someone please tell me about this band 'The Sounds'
I'm about this band everywhere. What's your opinion?

Hmm... I couldn't find an old thread about this band... I really like them. I saw them live this past Spring and they put on a really good, fun, energetic show.

To me they sound like a current-day Blondie, and that's not just because they have a blond female singer. Great mix of pop hooks, rock guitar, and synth textures.

I saw them on Conan a couple of years ago -- they sang "Seven Days A Week"
- a bunch of their stuff is on iTunes.

Love these guys. They really capture the 80's New Wave sound with their synth driven rock.

Check out:

Dance With Me- The Sounds
Living in America- The Sounds
Rock 'n' Roll- The Sounds

They're pretty good.

Pity though that it seems they have no idea about the great 80's post-punk band- "The Sound" or they would have used some other name, eh?[B)]

I missed them recently because of the heavy rain at the Frequency festival. Did not listen to their second release but I liked the first one very much.

I have their first two records but have yet to pick up the new one, although "Beatbox" is now getting played on my radio show. I think this new one has a little more of a commercial sound than the previous two (not a bad thing though).
