I got to thinking. There have been so many great shows with characters that were never seen. I thought it would be fun to see which one we thought were the best.

Number 12 is for all the Brits who watch "Keeping Up Appearances" I love that show [:D]

You forgot Robin Masters from Magnum P.I. and Larry Mondelo's dad from Leave It To Beaver.

It's gotta be Vera...

WOODY: Hey Mr. Peterson, there's a cold one waiting for you.
NORM : I know, and if she calls, I'm not here.

Classic. Although we saw everything except her pie-covered face when she walked in at the end of the Thanksgiving food fight.

Hey, what about Wilson from "Home Improvement"? I guess he's a partial rather than total unseen.

Didn't Magnum figure out Higgins was really Masters? They tried to backpedal at the end of the series about this, but it was too late

I voted for Vera - but did we ever see Maris - Nile's first wife on Frasier? I recall an episode where she was mistaken for a clothes tree - but not a real sighting.

I was going to vote for SECOB but since he/she/it wasn't on the list, I voted for the Peanuts trombonery teacher.

I voted Philly Idol. Which brought to mind Phylis's husband from "The Mary Tyler Moore" show.

There's the unseen guy in the back of the crowd in every Don Knotss movie that yells out "atta boy Luther!" or you tell'em_______" was actually devised by Andy Griffith for The Ghost and Mr.Chicken, but continued throughout all of his "starring" movies ie:the reluctant astronaut, shakiest gun in the west...
