Our Daughters Wedding cd pre-order w/ free 7"

Postby romoboy » Fri Dec 01, 2006 7:18 pm

A complete collection of Our Daughters Wedding. The first 300 orders on the site get a free 7" single of Our Daughters Wedding. The 45 was originally released in 1980 on Design Records. Side A is Lawnchairs and side B is Airline. These were singles the band use to sell before they signed to EMI. Now they are new but they were stored for 26 years and we can't make a promise on the condition of each one. We did not produce them. They are a special gift from the band to say thanks for the interest in the Nightlife CD. Once they are sold there are no more.

How do I know if I am one of the 300? (UPDATE: I guess I am one of the 300...email confirmation shows that the 7" is included).

The war-themed American clip blows this one (which I didn't even know existed until a month ago) out of the water, but it was neat to finally see it all the same.

Coincidentally, all their promo videos ("With Closed Eyes," "Total Eclipse," "Decisions" and "Small Brave Land") will be on CD next month from guess who. I'm lifting my boycott of the label to buy it, because, hey, they are giving me what I wanted.

For those who won't be buying it, "Total Eclipse" and "Small Brave Land" are also on YouTube.

Yes there was (for the EMI version). Also one for "Target For Life."

I spoke to Scott Simon and he says they never did a video. You probably saw some live footage of them playing "Lawnchairs" which was shown on the show The Cutting Edge with Peter Zaremba of the Fleshtones.

The mystery is finally solved!

I figured there was never a music video, did they make any other videos besides "Target For Life" that is the only one I ever saw and probably the only one they ever made, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Maybe somethign was done from the Moving Windows LP. I would love to get my hands of their performance on The Cutting Edge.

Rockamerica has a video for Lawnchairs, which was supposedly directed by the guy who runs Rockamerica.

Was this video authorized by the band because I asked Scott about it and he said they never did one. Are they actually in the production?
I'd like to see it if you or anyone has it.
