Big fan of The Ocean Blue ---saw them in 1989 (?) at San Frans Warfield Theatre ...they played with The Mighty Lemon Drops and I (think) John Wesley Harding...Ocean Blue came out and walked the cue as people were going in to the concert and were very friendly---shaking hands and saying hi...Hershey PA.s finest....

Cool that you saw them, I missed them when they last toured. (When was that??? --1989?) Agree with XXX, that [i]Beneath The Rhythm And Sound[/i] is a brilliant album, as well as most of their albums!

I'm so glad you mentioned this - I had totally forgotten but If memory serves I was at the same show. It was Feb. 17, 1990. You're right about the bill. I practically wore out their first cd - Drifting, Falling will always bring back memories. Great song, great album. Love 'em.

Same here!!! I have their first 3 albums but i dont think the last two were released locally here.

My fave from each album:

1. The Ocean Blue - A Familiar Face
2. Cerulean - Ballerina Out Of Control
3. Beneath The Rhythm And Sound - Either Or

The song Questions Of Travel sounded like The Wild Swans The Worst Year Of My Life. Or at least the guitars on that song.

And they have the longest title i have known so far. " I Have Sung One Too Many Songs For A Crowd That Didnt Want To Hear" Whew!

I just love everything they do. I remember that you introdused me to this band back in the old hub days and I`m still greatfull for that.

Excellent band...I don't have the newest stuff, but Bhols is right, Davy Jones Locker is excellent.

I love the Inspiral carpets, awesome keyboardist Clint Boom. Dont like their vocalist though. But between them and The Ocea Blue, id still go for the latter. [:D]

Their 1st cd is amazing, 'Between something and nothing" is a wonderful jam, the rest of the cd is top notch. Tough cd to find, if anyone has an extra, LMK?

Yup, "DJL" is indeed a very good album!

"Waterworks" is also pretty good- after a few more spins![:D]... although I'm still having a hard time getting used to the voice of Oed Ronne in some songs. [:I] I still need to check out the other albums.

I'm with WolverineSyr in that it to is one of my favorite songs. A friend gave it to me on a mix tape in the fall of 92 and I have always been sure to have some copy of it on hand.
