That goes nowhere in a big hurry, doesn't it?

Let me see if I have this right...rhythm, check... melody, check... hook, check,... fluff lyrics, checkeroonie,...lack of meandering, eh.

You got this off of Flip...hmmm interesting.

Jeez! OK! I relent....I'll stick to top ten lists, trivia and skulking around! and I don't even know what 'flip' means.....

It's the title of a bootleg (= not commercially available) 2 cd collection of all OMD b-sides. I had a very "interesting" experience purchasing it.

Well at least my taste doesn't totally suck monkey balls. Grey Parade takes a little getting used to.

well, 8-6 I certainly think you do not have monkey ball sucking taste...I have discoved alot of 'new' cool stuff based on your uploads ---I think maybe I was being a little overly critical about Grey Parade, and have no right to be -- as every time I want to share something I realise how pedestrian my (mp3) collection is (meaning, close to everything I have in my New Wave mp3 collection is mostly available ---or has already been put up here---or can be easily stolen from Limewire®) ---now when I finally get an effective/easy way to convert my entirely New Wave/ punk/electronica album collection (3000+ and growing) then I will have something better to offer...

Here's something by Swiss band Touch El Arab. I have already posted a track by them in my "Swiss Cheese" post http://www.nwoutpost.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=16680

However the song i want to share with you here fits more into the category "obscurities". The vocals are in Finish (!!!) and "Volkstanz" got a lot of airplay by the biggest radio station in Switzerland when it was released in 1988. One member is now part of the famous Gotan Project. Maybe that explains the strong world music feel of "Volkstanz".

You did send me Stick Fig. Neighborhood..I forgot that was you...and I still owe you one.....see any posters on my site you might want? there is a Peter Hook one as well as a Wedding Present one I did (those are pretty much the only ones of 80's artists ---but maybe there is something else)....at least you were good enough at Hockey to get a concussion) they stuck me in as goalie as kind of a doorstop infront of the net...
