Looking for synth ballads

Looking for synth ballads

Postby Plastik44 » Mon Dec 18, 2006 4:24 am

...as I want to compile a CD for my girlfriend. I compiled some Ballad CDs a few years back with a lot of pop ballads (ABC's Ocean Blue, SOS, quite a lot Dionne Warwick, Leo Sayer's Orchard Road a.s.o.) and just stumbled upon Iggy's `Shades´ which I had somehow forgotten about. Now I'm looking for songs that are rare (not that Iggy is rare, but...) and could also be from no-name bands. Perhaps you could help me out by posting some or suggesting a few.
Thanks a lot for your help.

Here is one of the most beautiful sad tracks I know. Being entwined to this is a beautiful thought. [:)]

I'm too lazy to yousendit my suggestions, so I'll just let you do the picking from this page: http://nealsnow.multiply.com/music/item/2444

They may be more uptempo for what you want them for, but anyhoo...a couple of my suggestions would be "Not The Loving Kind" and "Ballet Dancer (Extended)". If those are close to what you're looking for, there are a crapload of other songs on that playlist that will fill the bill.

Here is a track from 1983 ,,,Canada's Images In Vogue (keyboardist went on to form Skinny Puppy) song 'Lust For Love' ---the sentiment in this one may be questionable, but it's pretty ballady and synthy to boot....

"Heaven Again Tonight" by Auckland Walk. Can't get more no-name than that. Probably even to Aucklanders.

I know I'm contradicting my earlier statement, but...could you post ? Couldn't find Minor Detail & Auckland Walk.
