I hear you on the Berlin EP cover. It IS awful...I'd forgotten about cover/other art when thinking of "perfect" albums. I thought that that cover was tacky and silly.

Don't worry, KYYX4ever, the cover art for "Forever Now" on the other side of the Atlantic was much better than we got (in fact, it's been restored on the remastered CD here in the States). And I believe, the original vinyl UK release even included a post

Reading all these responses, it appears for the most part no one has given any credence to works other than the lates 70s to 80s period, new wave, pop stuff. It's hard to believe no one considers other time periods with almost perfect releases.

Maybe I'm too picky, but I've never heard a perfect album. I can't think of a single album in which I like every song on it.

Perfect is in the eye of the beholder but to these eyes, only two albums could be considered perfect:

XTC - Black Sea
Clash - London Calling

For me, they set a very high benchmark for all subsequent albums.
