It's true, I live on a busy street, so we're always hanging our mic out the window to get crazy yelling people, drunk mobs, sirens. Sirens are our specialty. You want siren samples, you come see me, lol.

Also, while I have bought many synths on ebay

Last night I finally got my Prophet 600 put back together after a month of restoration. I paid $200 from a friend, put about $50, and 4 weekends of TLC into it and now it's almost as good as new. AND I even have a band to play it in, so this weekend Oll

OK, a question for you analog experts:

I was at band practice in a relativley cold basement, probably around 50-55 degrees. After about 1/2 hour of playing my Prophet 600 dropped a half-step in tuning. Nothing I did would restore it to normal pitch.

Since they're rather sensitive to heat, they must also be sensitive to cold, I guess. I've had problems playing my synths at outdoor festivals sometimes. Never mind the sun glaring off of LED displays. I had a Moog meltdown, once. It wasn't pretty.

I got an old Atari ST 1040 a few years back for sequencing, but I never could get my head around Master Tracks. Now I use Synapse Orion for laptop sequencing.

I just picked up a Korg MS2000 rackmout version for $300. Haven't had a chance to play with it too much but it seems really cool.
