Welcome to the new forum!

From the mid 80s till the end of that decade I was buying a Swiss fanzine called "New Life". What started out as a Depeche Mode fanzine soon turned into an excellent source for any kind of wave/synthpop music. They were also organizing concerts and releasing records on their own label. Through their mail order service, they were selling all sorts of bootlegs, but also tapes and records, for instance from unknown Swiss bands. The first song is from a tape I ordered there. I'm quite sure that Obscure have never released anything on vinyl. Wintertime by D-sire has been released on 7", but nevertheless you won't find any information about it on the internet.

Today I've got two versions of "I Tell This Night" by Stephan Eicher. Both versions are extended versions. Version 1 can be found on the regular 12" and on the promo 12". Version 2 has only been released on the promo 12" which makes it a collector's item.

To be honest, I have never heard of Guyer's Connection before. So thanks demised for introducing me to this band.

Today's cheese comes from the french speaking part of Switzerland. It's some tracks by Taboo, a band who has released 5 Albums in the 9 years of their existence. Their songs were always on heavy rotation at Swiss radio stations, but nevertheless they failed to chart.

For the time being I can provide you only a list of the albums:

1986 Ten Hundred Thousand
1988 The Same Word
1990 You & I
1992 All Around
1994 Love is 7

"The Same Word" and "You & I" have almost the same tracklisting. "The Same Word" has two tracks less then "You & I", but includes two songs that are not included on the later.
