The new Social Distortion, "Sex, Love and Rock and Roll" is also great. Probably one of the best of their career.

My two favorite albums release this year were:
Scissor Sisters - "Scissor Sisters" My VERY favorite this year.
Marianne Faithfull - "Before the Poison" Has some excellent work with Damon Albarn, PJ Harvey, and Nick Cave.

Without a doubt, I would say Stimulator, with thier self-titled debut. they are much like The Sounds, with a great chick on lead vocals, and that New Wave sound that never, ever gets old. I strongly urge you all to check them out! Vive la Stimulator!

A great LP released in 2004 was Kicking the National Habit by Grand National.
This is a fantastic 80's influenced lp full of great tunes.
It's like a cross between New order, the smiths, the police and even prince.
