I guess if you want to split hairs, it's true that the radio station chick poured the water down her own piehole, while the fraternity guy had it poured down his for him (and that hazing is illegal in that state in and of itself) but either way, they both volunteered for something on their own volition.

Just heard on the local news that the woman's attorney is going to sue:

1. The radio station and the employees who were at the event
2. Nintendo
3. Justin Timberlake

2 & 3 are getting sued because they were "sponsors" of the event: The wii being 1st prize and the Timberlake tickets being 2nd.

I find it hilarious that everyone else is responsible for her stupidity. I guess I'll get sued for voicing that opinion.

How are Nintendo and Timberlake in anyway responsible for her death? I'd be surprised if either party actually donated the prizes...more likely the station paid for them, and then offered them up.

There's no way they paid for the Timberlake tickets. There are always a certain number of tickets set aside for the record label for promotions, giveaways, and (unofficially) employees to use and trade.
Nintendo, I'm not sure about, but I'd guess it came from their marketing department.

Either way, how can they be held responsible for the fact their existence crossed paths with hers? The station is another matter: their actions (actually their lack of appropriate actions) allowed for her stupidity to manifest itself.
