XTC no more

Postby SuNomi » Sat Jan 20, 2007 4:58 am

Truly a sad day for pop music:

This may be old news I dunno, but I read yesterday that Colin Moulding of XTC was retiring from the music industry and in several interviews with british press Andy Partridge stated that XTC without Colin would cease to be.

These guys have had a long and distinguished career which produced some of the greatest albums of the genre up to and including "Apple Venus vol. 1" and "Wasp Star" in 2000.

Well, maybe no more XTC--but Andy Partridge is still playing:

I feel that XTC really "ended" when Dave Gregory left the group. To me you really needed Andy, Colin, AND Dave to have the HONEST XTC sound.

R.I.P XTC, what do you call that noise?
