David Lee Roth didn't have golden pipes, but anyone else fronting Van Halen seems wrong.

Funny how no one has mentioned Joe Cocker or Amanda Lear.

and regina spektor... especially regina spektor and her awful, phlegmy voice[xx(]

I heart her. I looooove her muchly.

Marianne Faithfull is another - and I say that as a HUGE fan, so I mean no disrespect. She actually used to have a really lovely voice. But, I still like her gravelly old hag voice as well.

Simon Le Bon's voice isn't particularly strong either. He does that weird whine that makes me shudder.

Neil Tennant from Pet Shop Boys - I hate his voice. Very very nasal.

<p align="justify">Generally, I tend to hate whiny and nasal voices as well, but I make the exception when it comes to powerhouse New Wave bands such as D2 and The Pet Shop Boys[8D]

Rod Stewart sounds like he gargles with battery acid. It works for Rock and Roll but not Swing.

Keith Richard's singing voice is like a trainwreck but I can't stop listening.

Lemmy Kilmore of Motörhead sounds like a broken foghorn... and that's as it should be.

Falsettos tend to go straight to the spine, so I won't be playing too much Jimmy Somerville or Roland Gift.

Lucinda Williams

Ric Ocasek, but I like him anyway.

Any of the young dubbed "pop princesses," namely Britney, Christina, Mariah and their ilk. They all drive me up the fucking wall. Melisma is NOT A TALENT.
